Adoro lavorare su soggetti botanici e ancora di più se ho la possibilità di farlo disegnando dal vero, come per questo progetto che ho appena finito. Mi auguro per il nuovo anno di poterne fare molti di più!

I love to work on botanical illustrations and it's great when I can draw using plants and flowers as reference instead of photos as I did for this project. Hope to make more botanical illustrations this year!

Another two illustrations from the book A seed needs sun. The seed is growing... the title of the first illustration is "Roots need room" and the one for the second illustration is "Sprouts need air".

WWF: Illustrazione naturalistica

Artwork created for WWF Italy. More than 70 illustrations of animals, plants, mushrooms...

Ho eseguito più di 70 disegni naturalistici per il WWF, per un libro pubblicato da Panini. Funghi, uccelli, piante....è stato abbastanza stancante perchè la misura dei disegni era piuttosto piccola e il dettaglio richiesto sempre lo stesso, per non parlare dell'accuratezza scientifica. Lavorando a mano sembra a volte di poter eseguire il lavoro più velocemente quando il soggetto è piccolo ma poi non è così, questo almeno se si lavora nell'ambito dell'illustrazione denominata non fiction, di divulgazione. Mi sono diverita a fare le conchiglie...che amo peraltro!

 

 

 

Old Website Goodbye...

I am happy that my new website will be online shortly but I've also admit that I am sorry to say goodbye to my dear old website. My brother Duccio created this for me severeal years ago and the website it has been a gorgeous Christmas present! Again thanks Duccio! So I decided to post here some images of my old website before it will disappear forever...
